Making stop-motion films

Hello class! Ready for our last Arts project of this year? You have two weeks to do this project so…take it easy and do something NICE.

This time we are going to make a short stop-motion film. Do you remember what stop motion is? In stop motion objects seem to move because many photos are put together and the photos look as if they were animated. Here you have some videos to remember it!

We are going to use an APP called picpac.tv Download it to your smartphone and watch this video to learn how to use it.

Finally, here you have my project. I hope you enjoy it!!

CONDUCTORS AND INSULATORS

Hi class.

In this unit you are learning about electricity.

  • Some materials let the electricity pass: they are conductors
  • some materials don’t let electricity pass: they are insulators

Classify these materials.

Look at this wire (cable):

  • there is metal inside: the electricity can pass. METAL IS CONDUCTOR
  • there is plastic outside: electricity cannot pass. It protects us. PLASTIC IS AN INSULATOR.

Watch this video to learn even more.

future with GOING TO

Hello fifth graders.

In this unit you are going to practice the FUTURE with GOING TO.

Watch this video to see how Camille and I talk about our plans for next weekend, next summer and next school year

now, using https://vocaroo.com/ you can record yourself talking about Diego’s plans for the future

Here you have some clues:

Diego is going to take the bus to Grandma’s house.

Diego isn’t going to take a plane to Grandma’s house

Go on! make more sentences and record them using https://vocaroo.com/

USING TECHNOLOGY

Hello class. We start our new and last NATURAL SCIENCE Unit. In this post I am going to put all the activities that you have to do.

  1. classify these technologies. You can add more. Remember that you can use draw.io to make it as a graph.

2. Look at all this technological advances. You are going to choose one of them and investigate a little bit more about it.

Your investigation must include:

  • Year of creation:
  • Creator/s or developer/s:
  • where is it used?
  • why is it useful?:
  • what possible disadvantages does it have?:
  • how do you imagine this technology in the future?

Here you have some resources that can help you:

  1. Take ideas from these articles
