NUTRITION

Hello sixht graders!

I hope you are ready for your Christmas break! In January we are going to learn more about the vital function of nutrition.

The function of Nutrition involves four different systems: Digestive, Circulatory, Excretory and Respiratory.

Choose one of the following videos and watch it. After watching it you have two tasks:

  • Write five exam questions
  • make a graphic organizer that will help you and your classmates to study. The best organizers will be rewarded with 5 points.
click on the video linked on Youtube

Teacher!!!!! How can I make a graphic organizer????

You can organize the information in different sections: main organs involved, parts of the system, how does it work, relevant facts… pictures and examples are always helpful.

Five Kingdoms of Living things

Hello, fifth graders.

Today we are learning about the five types of living things, also known as Kingdoms.

First, I would like you to watch this video (you can start in minute 1:00)

After you have watched it, you can do a graphic organizer (esquemita) with the most important information:

  • Name
  • Cells: unicelullar, or multicellular and characteristics of their cells.
  • Interaction: can they move?
  • Nutrition: How do they get food?
  • Reproduction Type of reproduction.

Bring it next Tuesday after the long weekend. This will be part of your final evaluation.
